The Reverend Canon Robert Hawkins

The Reverend Canon Robert Hawkins and his family moved from Wilsonville, Oregon, to Knoxville in 2022 and became members of the Holy Cross family. Canon Hawkins founded St. Michael’s Anglican Church in Wilsonville, Oregon, where he was Rector for 18 years. He was also appointed Vicar General of the Diocese of the West, APA, by then Presiding Bishop Walter Grundorf, a position he held for several years, and in collaboration with Bishop Robert Giffin, oversaw the merger of the Diocese of the West and Diocese of Middle America into the Diocese of the Central and Western States in 2020. Canon Hawkins is a former Marine Corps Major and attack pilot. He has been married to his lovely bride, Christine, for 43 years and has two wonderful children, Matthew and Rachel.
